Following the gathering, we will head to three local restaurants for lunch. Each table will be hosted by people from our church, creating a relaxed opportunity to meet someone new, deepen relationships, and experience the kind of community that grows around a shared table.

We are taking church to the beach for a joyful morning of worship, baptisms, and brunch. Come celebrate stories of new life in Jesus and enjoy an extended morning together as a church family.

As the new school year approaches, we are supporting local teachers by helping provide supplies from their classroom wishlists. We will also take time during the gathering to pray for teachers, school staff, students, and families throughout our neighborhood.

We are beginning the month by giving our neighbors a simple opportunity to experience a Sunday at Community Church Playa. We will share our vision as a church, introduce our ministries, and create space for new people to meet the people who call this church home.

This summer, we’re excited to partner again with Union Rescue Mission and Hope Gardens for their annual Christmas in July event — a carnival-style day designed to bless and celebrate women and children transitioning out of experiencing homelessness.

We’d love for you to join us on Saturday, July 11th from 3:30–7:30PM in Sylmar as we help create a fun, joy-filled day for these families through games, food, water slides, and more.

Spots are limited to 30 volunteers, so be sure to register soon if you’d like to be part of it.
