Current Initiatives
Grass Roots Neighbors is a volunteer community organization in Playa del Rey that meets the immediate needs of our neighbors experiencing food and housing insecurity. They mobilize to fill the gaps in existing services by providing assistance with love and respect.
Each Sunday, we collect items needed by Grass Roots Neighbors to donate to families. On Palm Sunday, we created 60 bags of groceries and supplies for families being served by Grass Roots Neighbors.
For nearly 145 years, the YMCA of Los Angeles has been a cornerstone of connection and community, helping everyone at every stage of life grow stronger, feel supported, and find their place.
We partner with the YMCA for a back-to-school backpack drive. This past fall, together we were able to provide over 250 backpacks and school supplies for families in our community.
